Haiti Earthquake Relief - Effort

As most of you have already heard, there has been a tragic catastrophe in Haiti, which has taken thousands, if not tens of thousands, of lives - an earthquake which struck Tuesday, January 12, has devastated the city of Port-Au-Prince. The United States, among other nations are organizing aid efforts, altering search teams, and gathering supplies that will be badly needed in the Western Hemisphere's poorest country. In our continuing efforts to reach out to those in need, Image has selected World Vision as our organization of choice to recieve our donations in support of this disaster and humanitarian effort. Image employees are donating generously and Image is matching those donations to maximize the contribution. Let us all do what we can to support this heartbreaking tragedy by making an effort to help. All donations, no matter how big or small, matter and will be very much appreciated by the Haitian people and those who are mobilizing to help them. Please visit World Vision today to make your donation. Thank you!

Image Offers 508 Compliance Solutions with the "508 Development Team"

October 21, 2009 – Section 508 addresses Federal Agencies, ensuring that all Electronic and Internet Technology (E&IT) are accessible for people with the following disabilities: Visual, hearing, motor, and speech. Image Technical Services has created a 508 Development Team, complete with on-site experts that will assist you in creating multimedia, eLearning and web-based design, fit to meet all Section 508 accessibility standards. In 1998, the Rehabilitation Act Amendments notably expanded and strengthened the requirements of Section 508. The law directed the Access Board to create binding, enforceable standards that spell out what makes E&IT products accessible to persons with disabilities. Federal agencies must adhere to all set standards. Image Technical Services provides unique services in Multimedia Design, eLearning and Web Development, implementing all Section 508 standards. Orlando, October 6, 2009 – Image Technical Services recently orchestrated audiovisual and multimedia content for a joint conference between the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense. “Evolving Paradigms II: The Journey Home”, was an educational and inspirational conference, held for over 3,000 attendees at the Las Vegas Hilton on September 21-25. With over one million troops expected to return this year, VA is not only reaching out to veterans, but to their families as well. Image had the privilege and honor of creating multiple videos for this event, all representing veterans and their heroic tales. A soldier’s journey home is an emotional one and this event focused on issues, such as mental health, post-deployment, readjustment, rehabilitation, and community re-integration. Image was responsible for all graphic design, signage, staging, and more. Audiovisual elements included a 70-foot wide seamless display of high definition content and engaging graphics that conveyed VA’s overall message, “The Journey Home: Making Connections, Overcoming Barriers and Transforming Lives.”
